Kirirom Hillside Resort

The hill station of Kirirom is set amid pine forest 675m above sea level. It is 112km southwest of Phnom Penh. It has been established as Preas Suramarit Kossomark national park. It is popular with Khmer people for the weekend. It is accessible from the capital, and the scenery is notably different from the flat agricultural land that surrounds Phnom Penh.

About 8km from Kirirom Hillside Resort, bathe and picnic at Chom Bok waterfall and learn about indigenous culture while supporting the community's efforts to improve their livelihoods and conserve the forest. It's an easy trip from Phnom Penh. This is one of the few alternative tourist destinations in Cambodia. Be prepared for some exercise. There's 3.8km of walking trail to reach the waterfalls, but you'll be able to interact with a local villager and discover Cambodia's natural beauty. |
