Yeay Pov Temple was built the same period of Ta Prohm temple. The temple was named after King Ta Prohm's mother. Legend has it that Yeay Pov gave birth to a son name Prohm. When Ta Prohm discovered his father was King Preah Ket Mea Lea, he set off to live with the king. After a few years, he returned to his mother, but he didn't recognize her. Taken by her beauty, he asked her to become his wife. He refused to believe that she was his mother. To settle the matter, Yeay Pov suggested that she and Ta Prohm build a temple. Whoever finished first would get their way. |
| The contest was held at night with women helping Yeay Pov, and men helping Ta Prohm. After many hours, Yeay Pov sent an artificial morning star into the sky, making the men think that it was dawn. They went to sleep while Yeay Pov's temple was completed. Ta Prohm was defeated and recognized Yeay Pov as his mother. |

Tonl'e Bati is a lake and popular picnic area for the local people. There are many bamboo picnic stands and mats by the water.
